Nutrition Plan
Providing Everything You Need

Plant-based Nutrition
The Wellness Garden Way looks at lifestyle modifications to aide in balance and restoration of the body. Our nutrition plan focuses on hydration and eating organic, non-hybrid whole foods. Our clients are encouraged to incorporate a variety of colorful fruit and vegetables, dark-leafy greens, whole grains, seeds, nuts, low-sodium, good fat and non-dairy foods. On the contrary, we encourage them to omit processed high sugar, high fat, high sodium foods and drinks; animal products and dairy foods.
We give the body what it needs to flush mucous and rid it of inflammation while also stimulating cleansing, detoxification and digestive rest to reap health benefits.
80/20 Balance Ratio
We believe in maintaining pH homeostasis of the body through plant-based nutrition. Therefore, our nutrition plan is packed with superfoods and focuses on the 80/20 ratio alkaline diet. In order to promote optimal wellness, we encourage eating 80% alkaline and 20% acid foods. Everything we eat and made up of has a pH level. An acid state is correlated by the amount of hydrogen ions present while an alkaline state is measured by the amount of hydroxide ions present when mixed with water. The body uses chemical reactions along with buffering system of the kidneys and lungs to keep the body in a GOOD, BALANCED state. The pH balance is measured on a system of 0 (very acidic) to 14 (very alkalotic) with 7 being neutral. For example, the pH of blood is 7.35-7.45 and the pH water is 7. We need the balance of both to create an environment for health.
Eating meats and processed foods through the Western diet make the body work harder to keep it in balance. On the other hand, consuming more alkaline -forming foods increases more benefits such as decreasing inflammation, increasing cellular rejuvenation and decreasing the risk for disease.
